Every day, Responsive Translation is committed to establishing and maintaining the security and confidentiality of all information, information systems, applications and networks owned by, held by, supplied by and contracted to the company.

On this page, we will explain how Responsive Translation stores, uses and keeps our data safe and secure—including data that clients have entrusted to us. Notwithstanding, we have additional protocols in place in the event of any security incident or emergency situation, including a pandemic.
Responsive Translation uses Microsoft Azure and SharePoint to securely store company data in the cloud. System uptime stands at 99.95%.
Folder structures support and maintain data integrity redundantly while multiple systems perform multiple inventories in real time.
Employees and contractors use multi-factor authentication to access only those files and applications necessary for their work. Additional security implementations are available on a case-by-case basis.
Responsive Translation does not sell, rent or share any client data with advertisers or with any third parties for advertising purposes.
Source and review materials are securely received by SharePoint. (Although some clients prefer the ease of use that email affords when sending us files for translation, we highly encourage all clients to use our Sharepoint system for this purpose.) In all cases, translation memory and glossary are client property and are never shared.
Upon hire, new team members receive training on protecting the security and confidentiality of personal information. They also sign confidentiality agreements.
All team members receive IT security training and/or reminders at least annually, in addition to annual business continuity plan awareness and training.

Other contractors, linguists in particular, are screened through affiliation and professional reputation.
Upon separation, automated systems terminate access for contractors. For other team members, our admin terminates accounts within 24 hours.
Responsive Translation selects strategic third-party vendors using robust security criteria. These vendors are used for utilities such as additional backup protection.
